My background

Human understanding, hands-on AI.

My background in linguistics shaped how I listen and interpret evidence. An MBA added an understanding of organizational decisions, priorities, and tradeoffs.

Hands-on AI is part of my everyday UX research practice. I use it to organize research material, connect documentation, and draft artifacts, making routine work more efficient and moving synthesis forward faster. I also help teammates apply these workflows in their day-to-day work, sharing practical ways to use AI and check its output.

At JPMorgan Chase, my work includes legal and regulatory operations research alongside experience with corporate technology platforms. Earlier roles at Kohl’s, the University of Northern Iowa, and Takhfifan gave me a wider view of how people navigate systems, both inside and outside the workplace.

My research practice

Choose the method
that serves the question.

01

Understand the context.

Interviews, contextual inquiry, ethnography, diary studies, and service blueprinting help explain the setting in which decisions and behaviors occur.

02

Test the experience.

Usability studies, survey design, task measures, and behavioral analytics connect what people say with what they can actually do.

03

Make learning usable.

Traceable synthesis, workshops, and clear readouts turn research into product priorities. I mentor colleagues and build repeatable research practices.

AI in my research process

Faster workflows.
Stronger research.

My hands-on AI toolkit includes ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot. AI-assisted synthesis and source-grounded review help me organize transcripts, connect documentation, and draft research artifacts with less repetitive work.

I also work with BMAD (BMad Method), a spec-first approach to AI-assisted development: define the goal, write the specification, then build and review. I share practical workflows with teammates and check outputs against original evidence and expert input before using them.
